    The X7, BMW’s first standard seven-seater, is the German automaker’s biggest model ever. It’s only fitting that it launches alongside an ambitious epic poem.

    Behold the Legend of Ol’ McLanden. A fictitious folktale read by Chris Pine that takes us through the heroics of an unknown hero who conquers everyday obstacles, although these hurdles are blown up to mythical proportions. 

    And as McLanden’s ordinary day becomes legendary at every turn, it becomes clear that not every hero has what it takes to battle the bulls of the bank, beat Roy the Destoyer, and outrace the Rogues of Razorback Ridge. 

    Then again, not every hero is sitting behind the wheel of the largest BMW ever created. Journey with McLanden and the epic X7, as they make everyday legendary.

    Meet LiMu Emu and Doug, Liberty Mutual’s new dynamic duo with one mission: to help people customize their insurance so they only pay for what they need. 

    LiMu isn’t the most well-trained spokes-animal on the block. He’s actually nothing more than a wild bird in a perfectly starched yellow uniform and sunglasses. But what he lacks in actual skills he more than makes up for with a catchy, rhyming name. Doug, on the other hand, is a highly trained customizable-insurance expert who serves as LiMu’s wrangler and partner in crime. Together, they’re unstoppable when it comes to saving people from one-size-fits-all insurance.

    The new campaign, which harks back to classic buddy-cop series like Starsky and Hutch, launches with three spots showing the characters springing into action.

Lessons in HerStory

  • Lessons in HerStory

    Timed with Women’s History Month, Daughters of the Evolution and GS&P introduced Lessons in Herstory, an app that uses augmented reality to celebrate stories of women typically omitted from history textbooks. When users open the app and scan an image of a male historical figure in A History of US, Book 5: Liberty for All? 1820­–1860, the app unlocks a story of an important female historical figure from that same period. For example, when a user scans President Zachary Taylor, they will see an illustration and story of Cathay Williams, the first African American woman to enlist in the army (using a disguise and a pseudonym) during the Civil War, when women were prohibited from entering the military. The app currently features stories of 75 women from the 19th century and is available on the App Store.
