It has come to our attention that a fraudulent company known as  “GSP”, “GSPNYC” or “GSP Campaigns” has set up a website, social media presence and even has an HR department that appears to be trying to align itself with the Goodby agency using our initials. It is possible that this company has been set up to acquire your personal information.

We hope the following information will be helpful to you to avoid getting scammed by this action:

  • We are not currently conducting initial interviews in person.
  • We do not have an office in mid-town Manhattan
  • Any email from us will come from the domains @omc.com

Account Manager

New York

We are looking for a senior Account Manager to join our small, but mighty, New York office. This is a hybrid role. The person we hire will be able to come into our New York City office, three days a week (Tues-Thurs). We are in SOHO.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of full-service agency experience and will be at the Account Supervisor level —or the equivalent—at their current agency.

The senior Account Manager we hire will:

Pro-actively lead the development process from ideas through execution

Write and present clearly and persuasively

Champion great creative work 

Be a well-liked, trusted and empathetic partner to clients

Have the experience to handle client meetings and productions, independently

Negotiate high-pressure situations in a positive, calm, objective, professional way

Take accountability to navigate and communicate timelines and deliverables

Stay positive, and knows how to keeps people motivated


Qualifications: 

You must have at least five years of experience working in a full-service advertising agency, in account management or project management, with client contact.

You have experience with production across a variety of platforms.

Regarding compensation, the range below represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as a full-time employee of Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in the United States. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience, training, associated responsibilities, and other business and organizational needs. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.

$85,000 - $115,000

Account Director

San Francisco

We are looking for an Account Director to join our outstanding Account Management department in our San Francisco office.

We expect that, as an Account Director, you will no longer be managing projects but will be leading accounts or large pieces of accounts. Your job is more than helping make the trains run well and on time. It’s now about helping others make sure this happens. And, more importantly, it’s about guiding the process and decisions on where to lay new track. It’s a role that requires equal parts quality control and leadership.
 

For us, a great Account Director does the following:

1) Clearly defines the client’s business problem and gets people in the agency excited to work on it.

2) Provides their own point of view that is considerate of both the client’s and agency’s viewpoints but not necessarily beholden to either one of them.

3) Serves the needs of the individuals on their team and on the account.

Although you are the most senior person managing a team of people, this is not permission to act above the other people working on the account (especially the Account Managers). Instead, you need to work to serve their needs individual by individual. This means making time for them—even treating their time as more important than your own. This can’t be emphasized enough. The directors whom people like working with the most seem to be the ones who are most generous and open with their time.

4) Constantly set (and if necessary, change) the conditions on the account to allow people to do their best work. 

 

Qualifications:

You must have prior advertising-agency experience and have worked as an Account Director for 1-3 years.

You have managed complex projects.

You know how to manage a team of people.

You have experience with all facets of production, including managing a large broadcast shoot.
