One of the most talked-about movies this Halloween wasn’t in theaters; it was a first-of-its-kind live-interactive paranormal thriller from Xfinity—powered by xFi Pods.

On October 16, with the help of an audience on Twitter, a team of paranormal investigators made their way through the largest haunted house in the US, the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose. But halfway through their journey, things suddenly went horribly, horribly wrong. The house appeared to become possessed. And one by one, the investigators went missing.

    Viewers lost it.

#ProjectDeadZone garnered over 5 million views and still had Twitter buzzing days after it aired.

Xfinity Reality Week

Comcast/XFINITY
  • Xfinity Reality Week

To celebrate Xfinity Reality Week we opened the world’s first reality-TV Bar.

The inspiration for this idea was simple: Reality TV is more popular than news and sports among Americans. So, Xfinity converted one of Miami’s most popular sports bars into the Xfinity Reality Bar, a bar dedicated to reality television.

Timed with January TV premieres and the Golden Globes, every detail of the bar has been designed with reality-TV fans in mind, from the memorabilia—which includes items like the original duck phone used on Jersey Shore—to reality-TV trivia and celebrity Q&As.

For the millions of reality-TV fans who can’t make it to Miami, Xfinity will be creating a Reality Week hub on their X1 entertainment platform. By saying “Show me Reality Week” into their X1 Voice Remotes, fans will be able to access exclusive content from the bar, including interviews, games and viewing parties with their favorite (or least favorite) reality stars.

In 2006 the world met Bill and Karolyn Slowsky—two turtles obsessed with DSL Internet because of its slow, slow speeds.

The Slowskys made it clear then that they wanted nothing to do with Comcast’s high-speed Internet or anything remotely fast. When their son, Bill Junior, was born, they even taught him that “fast” was a four-letter word.

Well, now in 2019, everyone’s favorite spokes-turtle family is back, and this time they’re calling out Xfinity’s revamped customer experience. It’s fast. It’s easy. You can troubleshoot issues yourself. So you know Bill and Karolyn don’t like it. But their grown-up Millennial son, Bill Junior, couldn’t be a bigger fan. In fact, he’s an Xfinity customer.

In the new Xfinity Slowskys campaign, which launched on National Turtle Day, we witness Bill Junior embracing the fast lane, technology and life in the digital age. He constantly tries to convince his parents to switch to Xfinity to help make their lives easier. Spoiler alert: it won’t go well.
