Every day millions of commands are spoken into the Xfinity Voice Remote. It already seems a bit magical to say your favorite show or movie into your Voice Remote, and then see it a moment later on your TV. But we noticed people were asking their Voice Remotes to deliver much more than just their favorite content.

So for the holiday season, we developed a campaign showing how the technology gives back in more surprising ways. The “Magic Remote” campaign showcases short documentary stories based on real voice commands. The stories feature real customers, including a military couple who are granted the wedding of their dreams, an elderly woman who receives a new piano to play for her community, and a mom who wanted to give her son a toy as imaginative as he is.

    Released: December 2017

“The whole truth, and nothing but the truth,” is something AT&T, one of XFINITY’s biggest competitors, doesn’t always get right. So to combat some less-than-truthful statements in their most recent ads, we created a campaign that brings their fibs to light. But we didn’t want AT&T to feel singled out, so we surrounded them with like-minded people that are also known for playing fast and loose with the truth: fairy tale characters.

This campaign features a support group of well-known fibbers as they talk through their problems. Viewers will find characters like Chicken Little, Pinocchio, and the Boy Who Cried Wolf as they react to all the different fibs.

    Released: January 2018

The US has some of the most expensive cellular data plans in the world. Xfinity Mobile, however, is a new kind of network designed to save people money.

To show how overpriced other plans are, Xfinity Mobile is turning pre-roll ads into price tags by calculating how much money people are spending on data to stream an upcoming YouTube video.

For example, if someone is about to watch a five-minute beauty-tutorial video, they are shown an ad that tells them, “The next tutorial could cost you up to $1.06 cents in data. So switch to Xfinity Mobile and save.”

The prices shown in each film change depending on the length of the video the person is about to stream and the cost of data with their specific carrier.
