We created the irreverent 5-part mini-show with London-based animation studio, Blinkink. Much like Love, Death + Robots (which Blinkink have worked on), no two episodes are the same, in both storyline and medium. Animation Director James Papper brought various animators together to create Break Free TV, who have worked across Adult Swim, Fantastic Mr Fox, Isle of Dogs, music videos for Drake and more. Kids don’t want to hear about less sugar. So when Capri Sun wanted to launch their new formula with 40% less sugar (on average), but still the great taste kids love, we asked: do they even have to know? This campaign brings that question to life with a steamy, juicy, and totally fake romance novel. With tight pants, glistening muscles, and just enough cringe to ward off the kids, we’re able to hide the less sugar message from them and give it directly to the parents. Accompanied by a saxophone serenade, naturally. Directed by The Giraffe Sisters, this is the inaugural project from GS&P’s own RESIDENCE, a director-in-residence program giving opportunities to underrepresented voices.
