“It’s not that bad.” We’ve all said it before. About some unfortunate situation it was too late to extract ourselves from. But we grin and bear it. That insight drives the latest campaign for Xfinity. “Not that bad” shows consumers who’ve chosen to live without home internet—and how they suffer for it. Not just technologically. But metaphorically, and to humorous effects. Directed by Spencer Riviera of O-Positive, “Bear Trap” and “Hornets Nest” show the literal pain points of making do in less than ideal circumstances, when a simple change could make everything all the better. Because living without home internet? It really IS that bad. Additionally, in time for the campaign’s Halloween launch, we created a playlist of the frustrated screams of some people who’ve chosen to live without home internet. Titled Xfinity Halloween Screams, the YouTube and Spotify playlists are available to stream for any Halloween party or trick or treat parade… if you dare.

Your Kids Will Never Know

Client:
Capri Sun
  • Your Kids Will Never Know

Kids don’t want to hear about less sugar. So when Capri Sun wanted to launch their new formula with 40% less sugar (on average), but still the great taste kids love, we asked: do they even have to know? This campaign brings that question to life with a steamy, juicy, and totally fake romance novel. With tight pants, glistening muscles, and just enough cringe to ward off the kids, we’re able to hide the less sugar message from them and give it directly to the parents. Accompanied by a saxophone serenade, naturally. Directed by The Giraffe Sisters, this is the inaugural project from GS&P’s own RESIDENCE, a director-in-residence program giving opportunities to underrepresented voices.

    Released: September 2022

Same page, at every stage

Client:
Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Same page, at every stage

Construction sites are rife with miscommunication, which can lead to pricey rework, long delays, and some pretty peeved off clients. Luckily, Autodesk is here to help, but not before having a laugh at the problem in their first-ever brand commercial (and GS&P’s first-ever work for the brand).

Directed by Gary Freedman of MJZ, the spot highlights how widespread mix-ups can be on construction projects, with a humorous game of telephone. What starts out as a simple “Redo this wall” quickly gets misinterpreted as it’s passed along a busy jobsite, and leads to a rather irreversible result… The commercial then offers Autodesk Construction Cloud as a solution that keeps everyone on the same page, at every stage.

*No Pauls were harmed in the making of this spot.
