Integrated Account Director

We are looking for an Integrated Account Director to join our outstanding Account Management Department.  This Account Director role is on our largest client - working on the brand business but also working across the separate, business units and helping us to develop work across all mediums.  This opportunity is a truly integrated role.  The Account Director would be working closely with members of all our strategy departments, senior members of our creative department and with all facets of production.

As an Account Director we expect that you are no longer managing projects but leading accounts or large pieces of accounts. Your job is more than helping make the trains run well and on time. It’s now about helping others make sure this happens. And, more importantly, it’s about guiding the process and decisions on where to lay new track. It’s a role that requires equal parts of quality control and leadership.

For us a great Account Director does the following:

1) Clearly defines the client’s business problem and gets people in the Agency excited to work on it.

2) Provides their own point-of-view that is considerate of both the Client’s and Agency’s viewpoints, but not necessarily beholden to either one of them.

3) Serves the needs of the individuals on their team and on the account.

Although you are the senior person managing a team of people, this is not permission to act above the other people working on the account (especially the account managers). Instead, you need to work to serve their needs, individual by individual. This means making time for them – even treating their time as more important than your own. This can’t be emphasized enough. The directors that people like working with the most seem to be the ones most generous and open with their time.

4.) Constantly set (and if necessary, change) the conditions on the account to allow people to do their best work.

Production Artist

The Production Arts Studio at Goodby Silverstein & Partners is looking to fill an open position for a Production Artist.

This position is production-oriented, but may involve collaboration with Creative and Design Groups.

This position does not involve development for UX/UI and Web, animation, video, nor audio.

You should:

Already know what’s involved in being a Production Artist at an advertising agency.

Be able to multitask across projects and separate brand guidelines, and be consistent.

Have a good attitude and a strong work ethic. Attention to detail for design, typography, production precision, and instructions.

Be experienced. We are looking for two to five years in an advertising agency environment making comps and building final mechanicals for print and interactive projects; and preparing presentation files and tangibles materials.

Be proficient with Mac OS, Adobe InDesign / Illustrator / Photoshop, and Keynote. You know and use all of these tools regularly.

Project Manager - Acquisition

Project Manager  - Acquisition

This is a great opportunity for someone with about 2-3 years of experience in an account, production or project management capacity.

This Project Manager role tackles high volume, highly detailed, and fast paced projects with a proactive, positive attitude. This person is fastidious, a team player, and is comfortable communicating across multiple departments. This Project Manager will own the process for developing and routing Acquisition TV, radio, and print deliverables through the building. They will create and execute the plan for the work to be versioned appropriately and on-time, partnering with creative, motion, production, BA and traffic department. They will be the eagle eye that QAs versions for accuracy before work leaves the building.

This Project Manager role is considered part of the account management department, working in conjunction with account managers and reporting into the Project Manager Director. Assistant account managers, account managers, and a PM director would compliment the role.

Project Manager Responsibilities:

Own and manage organizational systems to accurately version and track Acquisition deliverables (TV, radio, print)

Become a master of the versioning process

Seek to make process as accurate and efficient as possible

Is detail oriented, able to translate field requests into end card supers and VOs with accuracy

Build team's historical knowledge – becoming well versed in the language, claims, offers, and campaigns in order to quickly approve or flag items

Collaborate with creatives and production on language and approvals

Project manage schedules and maintain project momentum – looking ahead to reserving appropriate time with motion/edit

Partner with Partner agencies, BA & traffic to organizing talent, traffic and production needs


2-3 years of prior experience in an account, production or project management capacity is required.
